What We Offer

At Proudly Me Speech Pathology, we provide individualised, evidence-based support for children and adolescents. Every young person is unique, and therapy is tailored to their strengths, interests, and goals.

We work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to support confident, capable communicators across home, school, and community settings.

Explore the range of practice areas we work within:

  • We help children develop clear and accurate speech sounds so they can be easily understood by others. Therapy targets sound production, clarity, and overall intelligibility in a supportive and engaging way.

  • We support children to understand and use language effectively across everyday situations. This includes building vocabulary, sentence structure, listening skills, following instructions, and expressing ideas clearly.

  • We support children to navigate social communication in ways that feel safe, meaningful, and authentic. Therapy may explore understanding different perspectives, communication styles, developing self-advocacy skills and building awareness of how social environments and contexts can vary across settings. We aim to build understanding, independence and choice in social interactions.

  • We support children and adolescents who experience stuttering or disruptions to the flow of speech.

  • We use evidence-based approaches, including synthetic phonics programs, to support children in developing strong reading and writing skills.

Funding

NDIS

We welcome NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed.

As we are an unregistered NDIS provider, we are unable to provide services to NDIS participants who are NDIA-managed (NDIS registered participants).

Prior to commencing services, we will complete an online NDIS Service Agreement with you. Please have a copy of your child’s current NDIS plan available, along with your plan manager’s details (if applicable), to ensure our services align with your child’s goals.

We also prepare NDIS progress and review reports outlining your child’s achievements, ongoing areas of need, and recommendations ahead of your NDIS review meeting.

All NDIS services are billed in accordance with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.

Medicare

Clients may be eligible for up to five Medicare-rebated speech pathology sessions per calendar year under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan arranged by your GP.

CDM plans are valid for 12 months. The referral must be dated prior to your child’s first therapy session. Please ensure a copy of the GP referral is provided before or at the initial appointment.

The five rebated sessions are shared across all eligible allied health providers, not per discipline. If your child is accessing other allied health services (e.g., occupational therapy or psychology), these sessions may be used across those services.

Private Health Insurance

If you have extras cover with your private health insurer, you may be eligible to claim a rebate for speech pathology assessments and therapy sessions. Rebate amounts and eligibility vary depending on your individual policy, so we recommend contacting your health fund directly to confirm your level of cover.
